A Tourist in London

Wednesday, the last whole day in London. Finally it would be a rainfree day (they said..)
We hit the tube (subway XD) a bit after 8. We bought this one day travel card which was even cheaper than only 2 rides on the tube.

Our first destination was Westminster- Big Ben/House of Parliament. Then London eye on the other side. (I just couldn't stop thinking that Jonas Brothers had been in one of those capsules XD) We took pictures, met some weird people and made a (disastrous) vlog. We took the tube, after asking some policemen the way there XD, to London bridge. The original idea was to look at the Tower Bridge but there had been some misunderstandings so we just took some long distance photos and moved on to the next place, the Shakespeare Globe theatre.
We walked from there, it was a bit tricky and we made some really lucky guesses (we did have a map....XD) before finally arriving at the globe theatre. I've seen the theatre several times before (from Thames ferries) but I've never been there. I couldn't actually go in though :(, but we had tons of things to see anyway.
We kept walking, we walked across the Millenium Bridge. Huhu, I saw this suit-man standning at the bridge just starring down the bridge with a somewhat sad-looking face, he had even taken off his coat. I thought for real that we was going to jump, he didn't though...XD On the other side of the bridge was St. Paul's cathedral (which we didn't know was there) so sort of improvised we went there to look and then just took the tube from St Paul's station.

We arrived soon at Liverpool street with the tube. We'd looked up markets in London before going and decided to go to 2 around the Liverpool street area. The Petticoat Lane market said to be open at 10 o'clock, it was 10.30 when we arrived there still there were only a few stands (stånd) that were open, the others were still unpacking their stuff. So instead we went to the other market nearby, to our great disappointment we found out that this market were not open on Wednesdays. (We switched sightseeing day remember?) We kept wander around until we found a Tesco store, where we went in and bought lunch and ate it at the busstop outside. XD We then went back to the first market, which now looked more like a real market. It was mroe fo a clothes-shoes-bags market, I'd hope for a vintage jewellry market but anyway i found a relly cool T-shirt. :D

We went to the nearest tube station to go to St. James Park, to visit her royal highness's house- Buckingham Palace. It was about this time the sun came out and it became warmer which was nice. The place (picture 2) was swarming with tourists as always. We sat by the fountains and enjoyed the sun for a while. After a quick rest we headed back to the tube station to catch another tube to South Kensington, to the Science Museum.
We didn't know about the direct udnerground passage to the museums so we wandered around on ground, mixing up the streets and all that fun stuff. XD eventually we found the place and once again the place was swarming! We watched some stuff, it wasn't like the Science museums I've been to this was like a real museum. XD We did however find an interessting section with the theme the Future. The whole room felt very futuristic, with minimalsim and all the white. There were 3 huge round tables, these were sort of a game with a projector on the cieling above the tables, which made the tables look like a big computer screen. Along the edges of the tables there were one button one revolving disk, there were about 10 of these "seats" on each table. We soon found at that it was a game about different theories in the future, such as Space holidays, men having babies and talking toilets. First they showed a short presentation of the theory then there was a game (catching babies and so on XD). It ended with a poll; "Would like to go on a space holiday?" and so on, then you could see the results of the other people voting that day. It was actually really fun. After an hour or so we headed back to the tube station.

The next stop was Covent garden. We went to the Jubliee Market, looked and bought stuff. XD Then we walked back to the hotel, What a day!
We went to eat dinner for a change XD, to went to China town and ate a buffet. YUM. Then it was abck to the hotel to pack and sleep for very (VERY) early day in the morning.

Yup that was basically the whole story. XD I also got 6 mosquito bites the last day so my leg have been swallen and ichy ever since coming home.....

See you later alligator!
