[pre-entry]

I went shopping with my cousin, brother and sister a few days ago. GUESS what I found?!!? the Jonas Brothers CD! It was just by the entrance, I don't know how I could miss it. It wasn't until we were heading out that i saw them. (Why is it mroe expensive than the regular CDs? Regular price at Rocks: 159 kr)

Do you know what I have to get this out of me once and for all. Then I know it's out and I don't have to think of it anymore.

What's up with this major obsession of mine? I'll prove it to you that it is not just some irrational bullshit. XD

Never, never in my life I've been so crazy for a musical artist/band than now. (I guess you can call it a obsession..) Or maybe for anything, or what about Harry Potter? (Oh yeah!) Maybe I'm just that kind of person that needs to have an obsession to stand my pathetic (?XD) life.

But I don't think I've ever gotten to this extreme kinda level with Harry Potter that I (clearly) gotten with Jonas Brothers. Where you constantly think and needs to see/listen the object of obsession, when you desperately need anything with them on, when you can sit for hours listening/reading about them or just when you constantly need to talk about them.
But then again" Jonas Brothers" and "Harry Potter" are two different things, I do think being "obsessed" with a musical group is easier, because these are living people, living people you can meet, living people you can see new (paparazzi) photos of everyday, living people do interviews and all those things. What's true is that "Harry Potter" was more than just the books, there were movies, video games and so on. Even if the actors of the movies are living people they are not the characters from the book. The characters in the end will not do anything more than what is written about them in the book. Aren't there always this distance between reality and fantasy? Maybe you think all those are not reasons to not be obsessed with a book. I am saying that it is easier to adore something that are living people(especially musicians) with it's own will and face.

I thought this was kind of a "13 going on 20" (fjortis) phase. I thought it was something that wears off you know, the older you get. But this obsession is bigger than ever (well I am not that old...yet). I never thought I'd get trapped in this boyband phase, because really, I think they are ridiculous! But music evolves and this boyband happens to play and produce music that I like. So in the beginning I was cautiously (XD?) listening to a few songs and just listen to them, you know. Then eventually it became music videos, pictures, interviews then I was lost.... You can blame it all you like on the boys and their looks, but excuse me for being a girl! It's true the boys are gorgeous (I'm not going to lie XD) and in this business image really is everything. I think (know) there are loads of (silly) people listening to Jonas Brothers just because they think Nick is the hottest guy on earth (and that disgust me really). But I, personally, know that there are more than good looks and good voices, because these guys have talent.

You can say I am being subjective because I'm so into them but this is the truth. At the age of 6 Nick Jonas got discovered for singing at a barbershop, at the young age of 10 he writes a song together with his father which would be played at the radio before a record company discovers the young boy. What is so great about Nick is that he has not only a fantastic voice but for being so young he is serious and mature.
This is the song he wrote: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mywZGjkxr6c .The song is about he praying for joy to the world and that every child will have food and warmth and so on, listen to it and you'll see. I was listening to this song one night and found myself being fascinated by the sincerity in his voice and the meaning of the song. When I was 10, most I was concerned about was not having enough of Barbie dolls! (I mean come on)
Then Nick's two older brothers joined and they became Jonas Brothers (Yes they really are brothers!) and they started to write songs together. ALL of their songs are written by the brothers together or themselves seperately, except for the covers they've done. That's one more reason to like them, I mean how can you not like someone that write songs that are, how should I put it, perfection! XD (Disagree, ask the millions of fans they have! ;))

There are thousands of other reasons why I love the Jonas Brothers and I'm not going to torture you with posting them all on here (maybe I'll make a seperate entry for that..XD). But one of the major reasons is that they care, they care about their family, they care for their fans, they care for the environment (Tiffany screams out loud), they care for their co-workers. They care genuinly, you may ask how the hell I know that. I have my methods and if I tell you the amount of time I put down for JB you'll get scared....and I've met them remember? ;)

The Jonas family is one of the tightest you'll ever see, the 6 of them (dad, mum, Kevin, Joe, Nick and little Frankie) always travels together. On their never ending tours (like WYLMITE tour going on Europe tour with Avril going on Burning up tour) they are always together on the bus tours. The family always gets their own bus. They love their mum, they are really good older brothers to Frankie and their Dad is even their manager.
What is really awesome with the Jonas Brothers is that they are really grounded and thankful, despite the bullet fast success and millions of crazy fans, they stay grounded. I think it's a sign of a well-balanced loving family. They even have a motto that says: Live at the bottom even if you are at the top.

Jonas Brothers knows ,and keeps reminding us, that it is the fans that have made all this happen and without them they wouldn't do all the things the do now. (You think: And you bought this crap? NO they really mean it) I know all musicians says they love their fans but I don't know if they really mean it, Jonas Brothers does. Everything they do they do for the fans.
-When they did the Hannah Montana tour and the tickets sold out in 10 seconds and they knew that loads of fans didn't have a chance to buy tickets, they did smaller secret shows after the tour to make up for the fans.
-They always make sure that the real fans gets the best spots on shows, by saving those tickets for only fans to buy.
-When their shows get sold out, they always try to get more seats or even put in extra shows.
-They never reject a chance to do meet and greets, because they love to meet the fans in person, at the meet and greets they always meet at least hundreds of fans and they can stay for 2 hours in front of their hotel or leaving a show to give autographs and take pictures with the fans.
-They greet warmheartedly every single fan that shows up (my own experience) with hugs, handshakes and they always ask how you are. Which make you feel so welcome and appreciated. WHY? Because they love their fans.

What kind of fan am I?

I've stated how I felt when meeting them for real (on previous entries) and that I behaved like some random fan. Why didn't I scream, why didn't I faint? Why didn't I...
I've reflected on all those things (oh believe me, I have) and came to the conclusion that (first of all) that all people reacts differently and that instead of being in love with the boys (you know I can say that I think Joe is drop-dead gorgeous and blablaba but I've never really like crushed on them. All those "Mrs Nick Jonas" and "JoeIsMyMan" are just kinda silly) I've cared for the boys and I haven't realized that until I've actually met them.
Before I've always been so anxious about the expanding fanbase and false fans and all that but now I've changed drastically. What I care about is the boys really, that they get all the support and that every show they do are as awesome as for the fans. I wish them all happiness and I hope that they keep doing the things they love.

I love listening to their songs because they make me feel so happy and ecstatic, that all I want to do is sing and dance. I love seeing the boys, everything from interviews, commercials or musicvideos because they always have such energy and they can be very serious but at the same time hilarious.
Jonas Brothers makes me happy and why would I refrain from something that make me feel good?
